Downtown Partners, Inc.
Downtown Partners, Inc., a division of the Greater Burlington Partnership, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and revitalize downtown Burlington. It is not a membership organization; it works with everyone with an interest in downtown. Downtown Partners is a nationally accredited Main Street program. Created by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Main Street uses a Four Point Approach© to downtown revitalization. Each Downtown Partners committee corresponds to one of the Points:
• Organization
• Economic Restructuring
• Design
• Promotions
By coordinating the efforts of volunteers and supporting businesses and organizations, Downtown Partners fosters the revitalization of downtown Burlington through:
- Business and residential advocacy
- Historic preservation
- Building design assistance
- Available property assistance
- Recruiting and expanding businesses
- Streetscape design and upgrades
- Special events
- Media promotions and marketing
- Facilitating the support of downtown stakeholders
