Hello RAGBRAI riders and welcome to Greater Burlington. Our goal is to make your stay an amazing experience. After the ride, whether you're ready to party or you love to explore new towns, there is an abundance of adventures to choose from. Whatever you decide, we want you to kick back, relax, & experience Greater Burlington.

In the meantime, here is what you need to know for your stay in Greater Burlington.

On behalf of the City of Burlington, I would like to welcome all Ragbrai Riders to our beautiful riverfront community, where the rubber meets the road. Our residents and businesses are very excited to be a part of the Ragbrai experience and our hope is that when you hit the Burlington city limits you feel at home.

Shuttle stops will be available at the following campgrounds: 

  • Crapo & Dankwardt Park
  • Burlington High School / Notre Dame Catholic Schools
  • Westland Mall
  • Southeastern Community College

All shuttles are free to use and are direct routes to and from The Party in Downtown Burlington.

Snake Alley Challenge 

Do you have what it takes to CONQUER Snake Alley? Gear up and take on the Snake Alley Challenge at Burlington Ragbrai! Be one of the first to make it to the top and take home an "I Conquered Snake Alley" Prize! Prizes will be handed out starting at 1 PM.

Special Transportation Requests

Riders have been making inquiries, needing transportation to Galesburg, Keokuk or other special requests. The following businesses are doing their best to go above and beyond their normal practices to accommodate the special requests of RAGBRAI riders. Riders can contact them directly to see if they can assist.

Burlington Trailways: Check out the line schedules on their website. Transporting bikes will require riders have their own bike boxes.

Enterprise Rental-A-Car: (2209 N Roosevelt Ave) is working to arrange for additional transportation needs: 319-754-1500

Avis Car Rental: (2501 Summer St – Airport) will do their best to accommodate your special rental needs: 319-754-5187
