The Collective Food Hub Announced As 2022 Small Business Of The Year

Greater Burlington, Iowa – The Greater Burlington Partnership has announced the 2022 Small Business of the Year being awarded to The Collective Food Hub.

This business has grown tremendously since being purchased in 2021. Their weekly sales doubled from the time they bought the business to the end of 2021. Their customer base has grown by leaps and bounds and they have new customers coming in every week.

This location is filled with completely homemade delectables, farm fresh produce, and locally sourced meat and eggs. They have also added take-n-bake meals and just recently started dabbling with small venue catering. It offers a shared use kitchen that is available to rent for the general public or for people who want to bake goods that are then available for sale on the attached retail floor.

They donate all left over product at the end of the week to Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. They donated a generous amount of items to a cancer benefit for a local individual with other benefits scheduled for the coming year. They have been very generous with sponsorships including the Greater Burlington Partnership on the mission to help better promote the community. They have also had a special needs person using the kitchen and retail space for his products as part of a Vocational Rehab program.

Congratulations to The Collective Food Hub and its owners, Alex and Sarah Beames.

The Greater Burlington Partnership exists to ensure Greater Burlington is a growing regional center of commerce, industry, education, health care, entertainment and culture with provides a great place to live and work.
