Taylor Collins Named Executive Director of Economic Development for the Greater Burlington Partnership
Greater Burlington, Iowa — The Greater Burlington Partnership is pleased to announce that Taylor Collins has been named Executive Director of Economic Development, effective May 1, 2025. Collins will lead the organization’s efforts to attract and retain businesses, support entrepreneurship, and promote job growth throughout the region.
In his new role, Collins will serve as a key leader in developing and implementing long-term economic development strategies that support the vitality of Greater Burlington and surrounding communities. He will work closely with local stakeholders, business leaders, and government partners to strengthen the region’s economy and expand opportunities for both employers and workers.

Collins currently serves Des Moines County in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing Iowa House District 95 - encompassing all of Louisa, and large parts of Des Moines, Henry, and Muscatine Counties.
Collins previously served in state government as a Policy Advisor to Gov. Kim Reynolds and later Senior Advisor to former Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg. As a Policy Advisor, Collins served as a liaison to four executive branch agencies, ensuring the execution of the Governor's agenda. As an advisor to former Lt. Gov. Gregg, Collins worked on rural economic development policy through the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Initiative. Before leaving the Governor’s Office, Collins served during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, aiding in the state's response, and assisting Gov. Reynolds in reopening the state for business.
Collins has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Iowa State University and Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration from Drake University.
