Get The Family Moving With the Downtown Burlington Snowman Story Walk
Downtown Burlington, Iowa –Looking to get the kids out of the house and get them moving?! Downtown Partners, Inc. has partnered with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to bring to life a story about a Snowman into the Downtown on January 21, from 10 AM - 2 PM.
This is a FREE event!
It all starts with a snowman craft at the Art Center of Burlington and ends with a Snowman movie at the Capitol Theater. This event is to encourage youth to read and make reading fun.
This event is most enjoyed by kids 10 years of age and under and will lead the child throughout the Downtown, into store fronts, while enjoying reading a story with a snowman theme.
The StoryWalk program is designed for families to engage in STEM and Healthy Living literacy activities while learning, moving and enjoying the outdoors.
Downtown Partners, Burlington’s Main Street program, is a division of the Greater Burlington Partnership. The mission of Downtown Partners is to preserve and revitalize downtown Burlington by enhancing its economy, infrastructure, and historical and cultural features.
