The Longest Day
June 20, 2016
The Longest Day is a new team event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those living with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers. Held annually in June, this event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers from "sunrise-to-sunset", with special focus on the summer solstice, June 20th, the longest day of the year with 16 hours of sunlight.
Whether it's cycling, playing bridge, exercising, playing a team sport, or any activity, hobby or event you wish, participants raise funds and awareness to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Team members can be local or across the country participating in The Longest Day together.
