Makers Night: Cherry Blossom
May 11, 2016, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
If you don’t have a chance to enjoy the lovely cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. this spring or visit the Sakura Centennial trees at the Iowa State Capitol, visit the Burlington Public Library for Makers Night.
Guests are invited to create their own cherry blossoms to take home out of recycle egg cartons, a little paint and branches. Presenting librarians, Samantha Helmick and Stephanie Royer will share about Iowa’s historical relationship with Japan and the cultural value of cherry blossoms.
This event is free to the public. The library welcomes you to register online on the Burlington Public Library website or by calling the library at 319-753-1647.
