Book Reading: A Sand County Almanac
July 27, 2017, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
“There are some who can live without wild things, and some who cannot. These essays are the delights and dilemmas of one who cannot.” — Aldo Leopold
Local Leopold Hertiage Group will be doing readings out of "A Sound County Almanac" on Thursday, July 27th during Jefferson Street Farmer's Market from 4:30-7:30pm in our Gallery. This is free and open to the community, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Through science, history, humor, and prose, Leopold uses A Sand County Almanac and its call for a land ethic to communicate the true connection between people and the natural world. The hope: that readers will begin to treat the land with the love and respect it deserves.
Extra copies of the book are available next door at Burlington By the Book. Check out our website for more information.
