WWII Memoir Presentation & Workshop
June 2, 2017, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (CST)
Memoirs provide an opportunity for people to share their memories of everyday life and events. Gail Kittleson, Iowa author, will guide you through the writing process.
When we write our life stories, we revisit the people, spaces, and events that made us who we are. This hands-on workshop applies inspiring examples and gentle writing prompts to help you get to the bottom of the stories you’ve heard and told all your life. Playing with new ways to write memoir and personal essays, you will discover how to turn your life story into literature.
Gail Kittleson is the author of With Each Dawn: Women of the Heartland, In Times Like These, In This Together, and Catching Up With Daylight. Class limited to 25 students. Advance registration required.
Presentation at 10 AM; Workshop at 1-3 PM. To apply, please email: lblythe@burlington.lib.ia.us.
