This quintet of flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and french horn plays exclusively from memory, whether it is arrangements of classic masterworks or contemporary scores. Based in Houston, the group’s members are young and adventurous, and their program illustrates this as they move from Mendelssohn's Scherzo into renditions of Gershwin's Summertime or Bernstein's West Side Story. Their performance is a must-see for all, particularly young aspiring musicians.
