The Iowa Tourism Office, a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, is offering a sports grant program created to bring sporting events to the state. The Iowa Tourism Office will award $50,000 to ten Iowa Sports Commissions. The Greater Burlington Sports Commission is accepting applications from tourism sporting event partners to apply for this state grant.
The Greater Burlington Sports Commission will partner with local sporting event organizations to submit an application for this grant. If awarded, the grant would provide $50,000 of state funds to the sporting events included on the application, while an additional $25,000 would be matched through a contribution from each selected grant partner.
