Hutcheson to Step Down from the Greater Burlington Partnership
Jason Hutcheson, President & CEO of the Greater Burlington Partnership, has announced that he will step down from the organization this spring to pursue a local opportunity in the private sector. The organization will begin the search for its next leader right away.
Hutcheson has been with the organization since 2007.
“It has been an absolute honor to serve our members and this community,” said Hutcheson. “Although this was a difficult family decision, I feel that now is an appropriate time to pass the reigns as the organization launches its next multi-year plan of work.”
“While we are sad to see Jason go, we respect his decision,” said Melissa Jones, Chair of the Board and Director of Marketing and Communications at Great River Health System. “We are assembling a search committee to continue the momentum and success to which our stakeholders have become accustomed.”
“This will be an incredibly attractive position because the organization enjoys so much support from the community and its board of directors,” said Hutcheson. “I would expect the group to have a strong pool of talent to choose from.”
“The fact that we already have a strong staff team and a great group of dedicated volunteers will help make this transition as smooth as possible,” said Jones.
The Greater Burlington Partnership is the area’s leading economic and community development organization and operates the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Group, Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Downtown Partners, Inc. It also provides management services to the Community Foundation of Des Moines County.
