The Greater Burlington Partnership and the Chamber of Commerce as we embarked on an incredible 10-day tour of Italy, that began in Rome, The Eternal City home to the world-famous Roman Colosseum.
They visited Venice Square and Capitoline Hill before exploring Vatican City, a principal center of Christianity in the world. Following they drove to Assisi, a breathtaking town home to some of the most fascinating museums, art galleries, and World Heritage Sites in Italy. Next, is Perugia, followed by Siena, an extraordinary city that is rich in history and art! They saw Florence, the Birthplace of the Renaissance where they discovered many artistic masterpieces including the David of Michelangelo. They visited Milan, the northern capital of Italy before ending the trip with mesmerizing Lake Como. While on the trip, a small delegation of Burlington business leaders met with the Italian-based manufacturing companies that have operations in our region. In addition to strengthening relationships with our current businesses, the delegation explored prospects to attract new manufacturing operations.
This trip was open to the public and anyone who would like to visit beautiful Italy.
