After spending many years in higher education, Bre returned to Southeast Iowa in 2020 during the pandemic. She wanted to be in a familiar place where people take care of each other in a time of uncertainty. In 2026 she joined Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis Services (DVIP/RVAP) as the Stewardship Coordinator on the Community Engagement Team. DVIP/RVAP provides life-saving resources for victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence in 8 Southeast Iowa Counties including Des Moines County. She enjoys building community connections and learning about what Southeast Iowa has to offer individuals living here. As soon as she learned DVIP/RVAP was a member of the Greater Burlington Chamber of Commerce, she knew she wanted to become an ambassador so she could jump right into being part of the community her organization serves. She enjoys building connections with people who care about their community, and the Ambassador program allows her the opportunity to interact with people who care greatly about Burlington and the surrounding areas. You’ll see her at tabling fairs, ribbon cuttings, and helping raise funds and awareness for victim-survivors in Southeast Iowa.
