Every year there is an election, whether it be area school boards, city councils, county positions, state or federal races. From the filing of papers to Election Day itself, the Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in identifying business-friendly candidates. Part of that process includes hosting forums in which candidates are posed with questions presented by the Government Relations Committee.
Forums are held for primary elections (if necessary) as well as general elections. The forums are live-streamed on social media and recorded for viewing at a later date, in order to give Chamber of Commerce members and the entire community an opportunity to get to know each candidate and their views on important topics impacting our community.
