Business Plan Competition

The Greater Burlington Partnership administers the annual Des Moines County Business Plan Competition.  Participants compete for an award package that includes seed capital (a cash grant), lease assistance, a complimentary website design, online training programs, and a complimentary Chamber of Commerce membership.  The cash prize for 2013 is $10,000.

Participants in the competition must enroll in a business plan course offered by Southeastern Community College, and one-on-one mentoring assistance is provided at no charge by the Small Business Development Center.

The 2013 competition begins in January. The deadline to register for the competition is February 1, 2013.
