Iowa Industrial New Jobs Taining (260E)

The Industrial New Jobs Training Program (260E) is an incentive program that provides qualifying businesses with financial assistance to pay for job training programs by diverting a portion of the employee's Iowa withholding taxes.  This diversion of withholding taxes enables SCC to finance bonds that provide the funding upfront.

Depending on wages each new position is paid, the business can divert either 1.5% or 3% of the withholding, which SCC uses to retire the bonds.

Participating business in the Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training Program may also be eligible for reimbursement up to 50 percent of the annual gross payroll costs expended for on-the-job training, as well as a corporate tax credit if Iowa employment is increased by at least 10 percent.
