Dresser-Rand, Steam Turbine Business Unit

Dresser-Rand Co. (formerly Murray Iron Works) has been part of the Burlington community since 1870 and is the
oldest continuous manufacturing company in the state of Iowa. Our products have varied over the last 137 years and today we manufacture high quality, engineered to order, multistage steam turbines which are shipped all over the world from the "heartland".
Our long and rich history in the Burlington area is due to the quality of our employees and the work ethic they bring to their jobs each and every day. These people also realize the importance of being an active member in the
community by volunteering their time and talents to a wide range of activities.
We continue to show our commitment to the Burlington community and the values it brings by expanding our ten year old state of the art manufacturing facility in the Flint Ridge Business Park to allow us to consolidate our two plant operation into one site containing 100,000 square feet.
Doug Martin, General Manager
Flint Cliffs Manufacturing
Burlington is my hometown, so I knew this would be the idea home
for Flint Cliffs Manufacturing, where we could manufacture anything from agricultural feed and water equipment to heavy weldments for the construction equipment industry.
The banking facilities in Burlington have been an excellent source of financial assistance as they are very knowledgeable and resourceful. When we bought the company, they helped us make all the arrangments for local, state and federal funding. They are genuinely interested in our success and helping us to achieve our full potential.
With the help of Southeastern Community College, our employees have the opportunity to be well informed and highly trained. Over the past 4 years, the Burlington community along the financial institutions have helped Flint Cliffs position itself to become prosperous. We’re looking forward to a great future here.
John, Schultz, President
