David Toyer took over as the Partnership’s Director for Economic Development in May of 2013. Under his leadership the organization has announced over 700 new jobs and over $225 million in new corporate capital facility investment. These accomplishments led to Greater Burlington becoming Site Selection Magazine’s 2016 #1 ranked metro on the Mississippi River for per capita private sector projects.
David oversees business retention and expansion, business attraction, marketing, workforce development and entrepreneurship. He is a member of the Burlington Noon Rotary and sits on the Friends of Community Field Board. David has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. David's career beganas a lobbyist for the largest home builder association in the country before transitioning to real estate development and now economic development. He is married with three kids.
